When I first heard about the change in the Daylight Savings Time, it was already referred to as the “mini Y2K.” After investigation, it appears the impact will be more of an annoyance rather than all out hysteria. However, do not be surprised if your online applications act a little funny starting on Monday. If you do notice anything unusual, please call us right away.

 Every year Daylight savings time comes and goes without any pause or concern, except for losing that extra hour of sacred sleep. But this year, things are different.
Why? The Energy Policy Act of 2005 changed the rules establishing the length of Daylight Saving Time. Beginning this year, Daylight Savings Time will begin the night of March 11, vs. the normal first weekend of April. NOYDIR: Yahoo SERP Titles |

 Website owners that are not pleased with how their sites listings appear in the search results now have a way to fix the problem. In the past, those websites which were listed in the Yahoo! Directory had those same titles and descriptions in the standard search results and not the default title tag and meta description from their web page. Recently, Yahoo announced a way for webmasters to have it their way and Webheads the 'net over are cheering as websites now have the ability to exclude the default Yahoo! Directory title and description by including the following within their sites meta tags:
<meta name="ROBOT" content="NOYDIR">
or
<META NAME="Slurp" CONTENT="NOYDIR">
Yahoo will need to re-index their Web content to make this change but the difference should be evident in the U.S. almost immediately. This will also (most likely) result in a Yahoo! Weather update ( code for a shuffle of the index ). Stay tuned - big changes ahead.

 Here's the thing. The web isn't going away. Neither are wireless handheld devices. In fact, I can only dare to imagine how my children will be surfing the web in the near future. Their watches, their sunglasses or even their contact lenses? Hey.. I saw a telephone with a cord the other day and had a flashback to my childhood.
You have different sized monitors and different screen resolution settings. You have people surfing the web on Wireless Handheld Devices. Then you have different browser software for PC and laptop users who are either using Windows Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox as their web browser. Do they both display the same websites in the same way? Not always. An ongoing challenge for web developers is creating websites that will display in both browsers the same way. Then the challenge of emerging technology – browsers upgrades and different electronic devices. Will they still support the code behind your website the way you want them to?
