Senior .NET Developer / SharePoint Lead

Overview: 

Web Teks is looking for a senior level .NET developer who has a strong background in SharePoint solution design and development to join our web team architecting, building and supporting Intranet, Extranet and Internet websites and applications. The Senior SharePoint Developer will be the resident SharePoint expert and part of the team responsible for introducing SharePoint 2010. The ideal candidate brings not only excellent technical and analytical skills to the table, but is also excited by technology and the possibilities of building tools and services that create value for our users.

The developer will have the opportunity to contribute to our web projects at all levels; working on ideas and concepts with the business, designing technical solutions, leading development, authoring and reviewing code, deploying solutions and assisting with operation in production.

Specific Duties: 
  • Design and create complex and sophisticated solutions utilizing Microsoft SharePoint 2007/2010, Windows SharePoint Services, Visual Studio and SharePoint Designer as well as various other .NET components
  • Use SharePoint to meet communication, collaboration, content and community needs and to develop solutions that address specific business needs more quickly than custom application development
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of web strategy
  • Meet with clients to define the customer view of the solution and participate in the creation and implementation of client’s web strategy
  • Provide SharePoint development leadership and subject matter expertise to web production and .NET development teams
  • Custom build web-based applications to industry standards either alone or in conjunction with a small team
  • Provide third-party code integration and maintenance or enhancements
  • Troubleshoot website and server problems
  • Research new products and keep current with changing technologies
  • Contribute to the development of common code
  • Provide quality assurance and benchmark testing, and document functionality of scripts and website interfaces
  • Review and develops new technologies and opportunities
Required Experience: 
  • 5+ years experience building scalable web applications using .NET framework
  • Strong SQL query building experience
  • Experience working with complex data structures and algorithms
  • Experience developing workflow and content management solutions
  • Proven experience migrating a company’s pre-existing intranet and/or extranet content to a SharePoint platform
  • Advanced knowledge of SharePoint's out of the box capabilities and how to properly extend SharePoint’s functionality; mastery of SharePoint components including templates, content management, workflows, user authentication/authorization and web parts (using .NET technologies)
  • Advanced skill using HTML, CSS, SharePoint Designer
  • Familiarity with integrating popular APIs (parsing JSON, XML), experience with social media APIs beneficial
  • Attention to detail - clean code and precise design translation
Required Skills: 
  • Current Visual Studio 2008 using STSDev experience.
  • Current SharePoint Designer development experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Security Model, Events, Alerts, and Workflows.
  • Ability to identify technology gaps in current capabilities and processes.
  • Detailed understanding of current and future technology trends.
  • Experience working with Agile Methodologies for Project Management.
  • Experience working with ASP.Net Ajax and/or JQuery
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Development.
